Safe and sound and havin a great time!

Due to a very weak internet connection on the night we arrived, this has been the first time we have been able to update the blog. There is lots to talk about, so lets get started:

The flight over was excellent and the children where on their best behaviour. They all enjoyed a mid-flight meal and even received a good luck message over the tannoy from the pilot who wished them a happy holiday and thanked them for being great passengers. Camp International's representatives welcomed us in KK and the coach journey to the camp took us nearly three hours throuh some beautiful countryside. When we arrived at the camp the children where welcomed by the staff with a coconut drink and a special bracelet.

We enjoyed a hearty meal of spaghetti and then watched the local dancers who let us join in the fun. We all settled down for a good nights rest, until one of the staff started snoring - we'll let you guess who! Up bright and early this morning we cooked breakfast and washed the dishes afterwards. Followed by morning exercises, donut making and then a spot of fishing at the lake. Congratulations to Serena for catching the first fish of the day!

After lunch it was time for a hike to the Rungus Bead factory where we learned to make our own bracelets in the same style as the local people. Home for dinner soon and an early night ahead as the children are tired and looking forward to another good nights sleep.
