You can imagine how early the children woke up this morning, it was around 5.30 am , when the first stirrings happened. It was showers first and a breakfast of toast, fruit and cereal . They were full of energy and the staff had arranged an early morning excercise session, that was clearly enjoyed by the children. Zul, the Camp Manager was a hard task master, but the kids got through it in one piece.
The children then had the opportunity to bake some traditional cake (Kuih Gelang). The cooks at the camp supervised the kneeding of the mixture into the correct texture, shape and size, and after a light frying and dusting of icing sugar, made a delicious mid morning snack . It was then off for a spot of fishing before heading into the village to visit the bead factory.
